FOR GUESTS ONLINE AND ONSITE
Updated December 8, 2023
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully; they contain important information regarding your legal rights including your assumption of risk and waiver of liability related to online content and onsite visits to Classical American Homes’ historic sites. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use Classical American Home’s sites or any of Classical American Homes Preservation Trust’s services.
Classical American Homes Preservation Trust (“CAHPT” or the “Trust”), established by Richard Hampton Jenrette in 1993, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to developing a public appreciation and understanding of American architecture, landscapes, and decorative arts while helping to develop future public history and preservation professionals. To accomplish this mission, the Trust opens to the public four early nineteenth-century sites filled with a remarkable collection of decorative and fine arts. The Trust presents educational programs and resources, both onsite and online. Its onsite resources may be found at www.classicalamericanhomes.org and its subdomains (including websites accessed through mobile devices as well as downloadable mobile applications) and application program interfaces (“APIs”) (collectively, the “Websites”) in support of the Trust’s mission. The Trust’s historic sites include Edgewater at 268 Dock St, Barrytown, NY; Ayr Mount at 376 St. Mary’s Rd, Hillsborough; and Millford at 7320 Millford Plantation Rd, Pinewood, SC.
Limitation of Liability.
NEITHER THE TRUST, ITS AFFILIATES, TRUSTEES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, COMPENSATORY, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (EVEN IF THE TRUST HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO SITE VISITS OR USE OF THE TRUST’S WEBSITES AND/OR CONTENT.
By purchasing tickets and thereby accepting these Terms and Conditions, you are also agreeing that we may, if appropriate, use any photographs taken by us for publicity purposes in our website, social media, newsletters, and other printed or digital materials.
It is a condition of participation in one of our tours that you agree to accept the authority and decisions of Classical American Homes Preservation Trust employees, docents, and representatives while on tour with us.
If you, or a member of your party, are persistently disruptive or seriously affect the enjoyment of others, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the tour without expectation of refund.
Ticket Policies. Tickets are valid for the date and time you selected. If you arrive at a CAHPT site and have missed your time slot, we will work to find you the next available one. Tickets are for general admission to a specific CAHPT site and not valid towards events which have a separate charge. Tickets include access only to the selected site’s grounds and designated tour spaces of the interiors.
