Classical American Homes Preservation Trust (CAHPT) and the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation ("the Foundation") will not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. In limited circumstances we may share your name and email with a programming partner to facilitate tours or events. The Foundation may release account information when we have a good faith belief that such release is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our properties, the users of its site, or others.

We may collect information (including name, address, telephone number, email address, device location, transaction information, and credit card information) when you:

We maintain the data that you provide us, along with a record of your purchases, in a secure database.

How We Use Email

When you provide us your email address, we will email you as necessary to process your ticket purchase, respond to a request, or provide customer service.

We may share information about partner organizations or events we believe may be of interest to you. These are shared with you by us from our own mailing list. We do not provide your email to outside organizations, except as noted above to facilitate a tour or event. We provide instructions on how to unsubscribe in each email.

Credit Card Safety

Our sales systems are hosted on a secure server using industry-standard SSL encryption technology. SSL encrypts, or encodes, your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address as it travels over the internet.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully; they contain important information regarding your legal rights including your assumption of risk and waiver of liability related to online content and onsite visits to the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation's historic sites. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Foundation’s sites or any of the Foundation’s services.   

Classical American Homes Preservation Trust (“CAHPT” or the “Trust”), and the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation ("the Foundation") established by Richard Hampton Jenrette in 1993, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to developing a public appreciation and understanding of American architecture, landscapes, and decorative arts while helping to develop future public history and preservation professionals. To accomplish this mission, the Foundation opens to the public four early nineteenth-century sites filled with a remarkable collection of decorative and fine arts. The Foundation presents educational programs and resources, both onsite and online. Its onsite resources may be found at and its subdomains (including websites accessed through mobile devices as well as downloadable mobile applications) and application program interfaces (“APIs”) (collectively, the “Websites”) in support of the Foundation’s mission. The Foundation’s historic sites include Edgewater at 268 Dock St, Barrytown, NY; Ayr Mount at 376 St. Mary’s Rd, Hillsborough; and Millford at 7320 Millford Plantation Rd, Pinewood, SC. 

Limitation of Liability. 

By purchasing tickets and thereby accepting these Terms and Conditions, you are also agreeing that we may, if appropriate, use any photographs taken by us for publicity purposes in our website, social media, newsletters, and other printed or digital materials.

Tour Participation
It is a condition of participation in one of our tours that you agree to accept the authority and decisions of the Foundation's employees, docents, and representatives while on tour with us. 

If you, or a member of your party, are persistently disruptive or seriously affect the enjoyment of others, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the tour without expectation of refund. 

Ticket Policies. Tickets are valid for the date and time you selected. If you arrive at a CAHPT site and have missed your time slot, we will work to find you the next available one. Tickets are for general admission to a specific CAHPT site and not valid towards events which have a separate charge. Tickets include access only to the selected site’s grounds and designated tour spaces of the interiors. 

Copyright and Proprietary Rights. 
The text, images, trademarks, data, audio files, video files and clips, software, documentation or other information contained in these files, and other content on the Websites (collectively, the “Materials”) are proprietary to the Foundation or its licensors. Copyright and other proprietary rights may be held by individuals or entities other than, or in addition to, the Foundation.

Purchasing on the Websites. 
The Foundation is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to the Websites in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. All information gathered from users in connection with use of the Websites is governed by the Foundation's Privacy Policy. Please note that the Websites are not specifically dedicated to children, and the Foundation does not actively solicit information from children. Children under the age of 18 are required to obtain permission from an adult before submitting personally identifiable information or other content to the Websites.

Disclaimer of Warranties. 
Without limiting the foregoing, all Materials on the Websites are provided “AS IS” WITHOUT A WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE, COPYRIGHT OWNERSHIP AND/OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY PROPRIETARY RIGHTS. The Foundation may update, change, or delete content at any time. The Foundation makes reasonable, ongoing efforts to revise and update the Websites, but does not warrant that the Websites will provide continuous, prompt, secure, or error-free service, and assumes no responsibility for any errors or omissions, including the inaccuracy of content, or for any damages or losses that users or any third party may incur as a result of the unavailability of the Websites. The Foundation assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable for, any damages to or viruses that may infect a user’s computer equipment or other property resulting from use of the Websites or downloading of any Materials from the Websites. At its discretion the Foundation may discontinue or take down the Websites or any section or Material within the Websites at any time.

Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). 
The Foundation is committed to complying with U.S. copyright and related laws and requires all users of the Websites to comply with these laws. Owners of copyrighted works who believe that their rights under U.S. copyright law have been infringed may take advantage of certain provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”) to report alleged infringements. A copyright owner of any content should contact the Foundation immediately to report any concerns of infringement by providing notice to the Foundation's Designated Agent as required by the DMCA, Title 17 U.S.C. § 512. The user agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold the Foundation and its respective supervisors, trustees, officers, agents, and employees harmless from all claims, causes, allegations, costs, expenses, fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), judgments, liabilities, losses, and damages arising from or relating to the user’s use of or operation of the Websites or any of their Materials.

Entire Agreement; Severance; Waiver. 
These Terms and Conditions incorporate by reference any notices on the Websites and, together with the Privacy Policy and any end-user license agreements, constitute the entire agreement regarding user access to the Websites. If any provision of the terms and conditions or the Privacy Policy is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be severable from the remaining provisions and will not affect their validity and enforceability. The Foundation’s failure to enforce a provision on any occasion shall not be construed as a waiver of such provision.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction. 
These Terms and Conditions and any amendments thereto shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws. Any dispute arising out of, in connection with, or related to this Agreement shall be brought in any Federal or State court located in North Carolina, and the parties hereby waive any objection that they may have to personal jurisdiction in these courts.
